Historical version 4 of Category East London Line (view current version)
This is the only Tube line that doesn't enter zone 1. In fact, it lies entirely within zone 2. It will be closing in December 2007 in order to be extended north through Tower Hamlets and Hackney to Highbury and Islington, and south through Lewisham and Bromley to West Croydon; work is due to be completed by 2010. Following completion of the extension, the line will no longer form part of the London Underground, but instead will be considered part of the London Overground.
