Historical version 4 of Category Mitchells And Butlers (view current version)

One of the largest operators of managed pubs in the UK, Mitchells and Butlers was originally a brewer, but in the late-90s moved into pub management and divested itself of its brewing operations.

It now owns a number of distinct brands -- most prominently (at least in London): Nicholson's, All Bar One, O'Neill's, Harvester, Scream and Ember Inns (which are found more on the outskirts). They also operate a number of unbranded pubs.

Although the unbranded pubs retain a lot of their own character, they tend to share a very similar food menu. Moreover, Mitchells & Butlers appears to have internal groupings for these establishments, such as 'Castle' and 'Premium Country Dining Group (PCDG)' among others.
