An area of South-East London, lying within the London Borough of Southwark, in the SE5 postal district.

The main shopping centre is based around Camberwell Green and despite small signs of gentrification, remains largely accessible to the extensive demographic range of inhabitants in this multicultural area, with a popular shopping centre. The area nevertheless sports some very attractive residential quarters (particularly around Camberwell Grove and Denmark Hill, in the south, where sprawling mansion houses dominate).

It is bordered by two excellent parks: [Burgess Park]? to the north (formed from the old Surrey Canal route), and [Ruskin Park]? to the south.
