An area of South-East London, lying within the London Borough of Southwark, in the SE5 postal district.

The main shopping area is based around Camberwell Green and despite small signs of gentrification, remains largely accessible to the extensive demographic range of inhabitants in this multicultural area, with a small shopping centre called Butterfly Walk. The area nevertheless sports some very attractive residential quarters (particularly around Camberwell Grove and Denmark Hill, in the south, where sprawling mansion houses dominate).

Many food places are on Camberwell Church Street towards Peckham.

It is bordered by two large parks: [Burgess Park]? to the north (formed from the old Surrey Canal route), and [Ruskin Park]? to the south.
