Zone 6 Tube station at the Western terminus of the Central Line, providing an interchange with the Chiltern Railways line from Marylebone to Denham, High Wycombe and Banbury.
Directly outside the station are several bicycle racks and a bus stop served by the U1 (going to Ruislip or Uxbridge/Hillingdon Hospital).
The station is nearer to Ickenham than to Ruislip - Ickenham Tube station is about ten minutes' easy walk as you turn left out of the station. The station was formerly adjacent to the RAF West Ruislip site (used by the US Navy), however the base is now undergoing redevelopment.
Two minutes away from the station (on the other side of the dual carriageway) is the Darjeeling Tandoori - a nominally-Nepalese curry house which does an excellent lamb dhansak.
