Tube and rail station in zone 1. It's on the Northern Line (both the Charing Cross branch and the Bank branch), the Victoria Line, and the Euston-Watford Line.

There's a bus station outside, on to which the adjoining Doric Arch gives a good view. The pub is named for an imposing historic arch sited here, which was destroyed in 1960s amid much controversy.
