A cafe and breakfast spot on Finchley Road, in Temple Fortune.
This is a nicely-presented cafe both inside and out, with plenty of tables in several rows (two rows aligned to the walls on either side, with a couple by the front window), as well as a handful of tables outside the front entrance.
There is table service, with a counter at the rear of the cafe. The menu covers all the expected breakfast, brunch and lunch options, with plenty of extra interesting breakfast items (Ewan visited in the morning), including "American pancakes" (with maple syrup, blueberries, fruit salad, or bacon & maple syrup).
Ewan tried the veggie breakfast (£6.25, with coffee/tea ordered separately and not part of the price) photo, which he found to be good quality and satisfying. The breakfast comprises two eggs (fried as standard, perfectly cooked and attractively presented), some fine grilled mushrooms and tomatoes, a vegetarian sausage (potato and vegetables, rather than soy-based) and baked beans. There are also two slices of buttered toast, which can be either white or granary when ordering. The presentation is topped off with a sprinkle of alfalfa sprouts across the plate.
Accessibility: Two steps to get in, and the toilets are downstairs.
