Second-hand bookshop in Osterley, housed in the long-closed Osterley & Spring Grove rail station.

It's a good example of an old-fashioned independent bookshop, with books piled on the floor photo and stacked to the ceiling photo. Much of the space is given to non-fiction, but the fiction offerings include a small SF section (right down on the floor, and double-stacked). A "bargain box" outside holds stock duplicates at low prices (£1 each as of February 2016).

History books are arranged in chronological order, and the 1960s section is marked out with a sign advertising books on subjects "inc drugs, hippies, art". Other subjects covered include natural history, zoology, travel, poetry, and religion.

The owners are friendly, and happy to either chat or leave you to browse. The front windows of the shop are filled with posters advertising local events, good causes, and campaigns.

Dog-friendliness: A notice on the door states that dogs are welcome "unless they bite, spit, or kill books."

Accessibility: No steps to get in, but the spaces inside are very narrow, to the point where a notice on the door states that pushchairs should not be brought inside ("sorry, shop too small!").
