Historical version 6 of Locale Canonbury (view current version)
An area of North London, lying almost entirely within the London Borough of Islington.
As regards its extent, the western boundary is Upper Street and the southeastern boundary is probably Essex Road. Whether Essex Road itself is part of Canonbury is up for debate (particularly the southern part of it, from New North Road down to Islington Green). For the purposes of RGL we've decided to include it in the locale to make it easier for people to find things.
