This category describes shops selling music records (as opposed to instruments) - albums, singles or compilations - whether on vinyl (LP, 12", 10", 7"), CD or other formats. Most shops now carry vinyl as well as CDs, as it has seen a resurgence in recent years after a period of decline following the introduction of CDs in the mid-1980s.
These shops will often also stock a range of DVDs (both movies and music).
