Canal 125, N1 9RG

  • 125 Caledonian Road

Canal 125 was a bar/restaurant/self-proclaimed "gastroclub" alongside Regent's Canal in Islington, a short walk from King's Cross Station. It closed down for good in January 2017.

Juliette thinks the food they do is quite nice (an anonymous commenter tells us that the menu changes often, but that they always do Sunday roasts). Sam feels the drinks are overpriced and the selection is small — no good whisky or good beer. However, our anonymous friend tells us that they do cocktails as well.

The ground floor has a nice balcony at the back, where you can sit overlooking the Regent's Canal. There are some sofas on the ground floor too.

There are two further levels upstairs, with their own bars, which are available for private hire, for parties or club nights. The top floor has a bookable room with a balcony overlooking Caledonian Road.
