Geographically large postal district in South London, largely made up of Eltham, as well as Mottingham to the south and parts of Falconwood to the east. It is shared between the London Boroughs of Greenwich, Lewisham, Bexley and Bromley.
It borders postcode areas SE12 (Lee) to the west, SE3 (Kidbrooke) to the north-west, SE18 (Shooters Hill and Plumstead) to the north, DA16 (the rest of Falconwood), DA15 and a small stretch of DA14 (Sidcup) to the east, and BR7 (Chislehurst) to the south.
