Pub in Aldgate, part of a small chain.
It's very much focused around vertical drinking. The ground-floor bar has lots of high tables and just one normal-height table. A set of stairs leads down to a lounge with several largish tables and breweriana on the walls photo. Seating here is a mix of banquettes, normal chairs, and a smattering of stools. The acoustics are quite bad.
bob, Martin, and Northern Steve visited on a Wednesday evening in September 2019. It was very crowded and loud. The nine handpumps were split between real ales and real ciders, including Tiny Rebel Cask IPA and Pump Up The Jam (both £4.95/pint). There were lots of things on keg as well.
Food is limited to bar snacks such as toasties, nachos, and ploughmans, available until 5pm (pork pies and scotch eggs available all the time). bob et al. found the pork pie and scotch egg photo to be fine, much the same as in other Craft Beer Co. pubs, and the mustard was good too.
Accessibility: There's only one normal-height table on the ground floor. Toilets are accessed via the lounge, down a set of stairs on the lower level.
