Indian restaurant and takeaway on Camberwell New Road between Oval and Camberwell.
secretlondon went here one Sunday evening in September 2008. There were people waiting in the takeaway section but the restaurant was empty when I arrived (a couple of other people arrived whilst I was there). The restaurant was large and could seat perhaps 80 photo. There was a TV playing what seemed to be an Indian music channel.
They had three Indian beers as well as spirits and wine. They didn't have any takeaway leaflets left and at the end, I had to wait to pay as the busy takeaway was using the card reader.
I had a meat thali (£10) photo and a 660ml bottle of Bangla lager (£4) photo. The thali was average and felt a bit small (but I was hungry). I then asked for the dessert menu. The menu had lots of choices but they only had three of them. I had a banoffee ice cream dessert which arrived solid out of the freezer photo.
I wouldn't come here specially, but if you are local and want Indian food without having to travel (and you want to eat in) it's fine.
Accessibility: The restaurant entrance (pictured) is on the side (Wyndham Road) and has a small step. The toilets are on the same level and have support bars. They aren't labeled as disabled though. The takeaway entrance on Camberwell New Road photo has more steps.
