Tubewise, it's served by the District, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Bakerloo lines. The Hammersmith & City Line platforms are a fair distance away from the platforms on the other lines, to the extent that Tube maps generally show them as a separate station.

It's also a major rail terminus for services including the Great Western Main Line, and it serves Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Connect and Heathrow Express.

The concourse includes a glassed-off area known as The Lawn; this contains a number of eating places including a Yo Sushi branch and a rather good pub, the Mad Bishop and Bear.
