Zone 1 Tube station on the Jubilee and Northern lines (Bank branch). Also a major rail station.

The Tube station has exits at both ends; the most-used end takes you through The Vaults[0] to the mainline station, and the other end brings you out on Borough High Street — when you get to this end, take the exit with the steps for Borough Market, Vinopolis, the Market Porter, etc (west side of the street), and the one with the escalator for the George and other stuff on the east side of the street.

[0] The Vaults — a collection of gourmet food places including Cranberry (dried fruits and nuts), Celtic Bakers, a fish/seafood place, Chocology, a couple of salad bar/deli places, etc. More details on the Londonist link below. This possibly deserves its own page, but I'm not sure what to call it.
