Indian takeaway with online ordering via Hungry House. This may well be a restaurant, Google streetview has it as a restaurant called Cafe Zia, and the delivery driver also used the name Cafe Zia. However the packaging was for "Indian Rasoi", and googling for the phone number also finds a takeway place at the same address called Cardamom! secretlondon thinks this maybe the takeaway brand of Cafe Zia, which used to use the name Cardamom. This probably explain its minimal web presence.
secretlondon ordered one Tuesday evening in June 2009. She had tandoori mixed grill (£10.95), chilli paneer (£4.95), kulcha nan (£2.95) and tomato, onion and coriander salad (£1.20). They say it will take 50 minutes to 1 hour 10 mins for delivery. It arrived almost exactly on the hour.
It was packaged in heat sealed plastic containers. The mixed grill was described as serving two people and it arrived split exactly in two in two heat sealed containers. Each had a slice of lemon and onions at the bottom and contained kebab, lamb chop, a large prawn with shell and the usual chicken and lamb tikka. It was rather nice!
The salad was above average for curry houses and the nan was averagey. In all it was generally a bit more interesting than the average anglo curry slop.
