Pub in Richmond.
It's a single-room pub, dominated by the wood-panelled central bar. Tables and chairs are wooden and mismatched. The floor is bare-boarded with worn dark varnish, and the lighting is a mix of chandelier-style and stylised "bare bulbs".
Vintage photos of brewing equipment hang above the half-panelling of the walls, along with watercolours of various American buildings. A piano sits in one corner, with a old-fashioned telephone on top photo. Out the back is a part-covered, part-grassy beer garden photo, complete with shuffleboard table photo.
Kake and bob visited on a Bank Holiday Monday lunchtime in August 2017. There were a handful of other customers when we arrived around 1:30pm, including a couple of children and a couple of dogs. Music was playing quietly, and cricket was showing on one of the flatscreens.
There were four real ales on: Timothy Taylor Landlord (£4.15/pint), Fuller's London Pride (£2.10/half), Fuller's Oliver's Island, and Twickenham Naked Ladies, plus one real cider: Orchard Pig Explorer. The staff member on duty was careful to pull through the lines before serving us.
According to their website as of August 2017, food is served noon-3pm and 6pm-9:30pm Tue-Thu, noon-9:30pm Fri-Sat, and noon-6pm Sun.
Accessibility: A step to get in. A very short and steep ramp (basically a smoothed-over step) to the beer garden. Small and slightly surprising step to gents' toilets, and the ladies' are up a flight of stairs.
