A Lebanese cafe and takeaway on Camberwell Church Street. It used to be called Taste London photo but is now called Falafel.

On a visit in April 2008, secretlondon had lamb shawarma. It looked a bit like doner kebab but the staff were very keen to tell me that it wasn't. Taking it home I can confirm it was much better and with completely different seasoning. I also heard people in August 2008 raving about a new place that did wonderful falafel. This turned out to be the same place!

Returning in September 2008, I had a falafel starter photo, mixed shawarma with rice and salad photo, and Arabic tea photo. The menu said that the falafel starter came with five pieces and was hot, mine came with 4 pieces and was cold (but I was given a piece to try while I was waiting). They didn't have the mixed grill I originally requested. My food came with a salad with pickled cucumbers and a bread as well as the rice which had noodles in. There was Lebanese television on during my time there and the door was open the whole time. The food was good and generous but the atmosphere is a bit kebab shop like.

Accessibility: There were no steps to enter but I have no idea if there is a toilet.
