A locals' pub on the Old Kent Road, at the New Cross end. It was renamed from The Breffni Arms in 2013, and the comments below pre-date that change.

Not the friendliest pub in the world, and probably not somewhere to be late in the evening. After work on a Friday evening, there were a few loud and obnoxious locals chatting by the bar, and the barmaid was fairly surly (stopping to chat on her phone while taking our order).

Inside, the decor is mainly wooden, with tables around the edge of the room, slightly raised above the main floor. Out the front are four tables in a courtyard, which is where we took our drinks.

No real ales are available. They list Courage Best Bitter on tap but it wasn't on, and John Smith's. Otherwise the standard range of cheap lagers.
