Zone 1 rail station on the Circle and District lines. It's the next station south from City Thameslink on the Thameslink lines; the line splits south of here to go via either Elephant & Castle on a little tour of south London taking in Sutton and Wimbledon, or London Bridge to East Croydon, Gatwick, and eventually Brighton.

It's also a Tube station, but due to major works (part of the Thameslink Upgrade programme), the Tube part is closed until 2011. The railway station will not close except for a period of four weeks over summer 2010. Source
