Note: As of late 2010, the Cardinal was closed for refurbishment, with the interior completely gutted according to Pubs Galore. An advert on workinapub.co.uk suggests that it will be renamed to the Windsor Castle when it reopens, a name it has had before.
On bob's December 2008 visit they had Old Brewery Bitter on tap (£1.88). There was a bookable function room. Food was advertised as being served noon-2:15pm and 5:30pm-8:30pm Monday to Thursday, and noon-2:15pm Friday and Saturday. (Note that we don't know if any of this will still apply after the refurb.)
