Prior to the change of management, it was a fairly standard real ale pub. It still has some form of real ale, but now does food and wine as well; according to the Dos Hermanos review linked below, the head chef is Trish Hilferty, who's previously worked at the Eagle in Clerkenwell and the Anchor and Hope in Borough, among other places, so it's probably pretty good food too. |
When bob visited prior to the change of management, on a Thursday evening in September 2009, there were several people drinking outside and a few inside. Landlord (£3.15 a pint, £1.60 a half) was available, but Pedigree and Sussex Best were off. The kitchen was closed and no indication was given that this was unusual. |
