As with all Sam Smith's pubs, it only serves their own beers. Although their Old Brewery Bitter is often available on handpump, our visit in July 2007 revealed no handpumps on the ground-floor bar, and though we didn't check the cellar bar, there were no handpumps there either on our previous visit (which was, admittedly, in 2003 or thereabouts).

Sam Smith's cider was £2.70/pint as of July 2007.

The BITE comments linked below say that it has a bar billiard table, but as of June 2007 it's out of order.

A blackboard seen outside in July 2008 advertised food served downstairs in the cellar bar, noon-3pm and 6pm-9pm Monday-Saturday; "hot pies, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, hot sweets, fairtrade coffee, tea, hot chocolate".
