Zone 8 Tube station on the Metropolitan Line. Also a rail station, with trains out to Aylesbury or back in to Marylebone.

Has two entrances; the main entrance (shown in photo) is reached from Chalfont Avenue/Amersham Road (or through the car park off Bedford Avenue) and leads onto the London-bound platform, while the other entrance, which isn't always open, is reached from Chalfont Station Road.

Facilities: There's a largeish car park, and a taxi firm (Clover taxis) right next to the main entrance. There are some kinds of shops and things next to the back entrance, including an Indian takeaway-or-restaurant (not sure which).

The fast Metropolitan Line trains stop here, so the journey between here and central London doesn't actually take as long as you might think.
