Sambrook's Brewery Tap Room, SW11 3QG
Sambrook's Brewery Tap Room was a small bar at Sambrook's Brewery in Battersea. According to the Aug/Sep 2020 London Drinker, it has closed and will not be reopening on this site. However, Sambrook's intend to move to the Ram Brewery in Wandsworth during 2020, and it seems likely that a new taproom will open there at some point.
The information below is retained for historical purposes.
It seats around 20 people at large wood and Formica-topped tables surrounded by mismatched wood and tube metal chairs photo, plus two or three more on a low sofa at the back next to a dart board. The floor is unfinished chipboard, the side wall is painted breeze blocks, and a large window gives a view down onto the brewery itself. They also have a small amount of outdoor seating out the front.
Kake visited on a Thursday evening in October 2018. I was the only customer when I arrived at their opening time of 5pm.
The four handpumps were all clipped for Sambrook's ales: Wandle, Junction, Session, and Pumphouse (all at £4/pint, £2/half). The Junction was in good condition, as you would expect.
Service was friendly and helpful.
Accessibility: It's on the first floor of the brewery, up a flight of stairs with a landing in the middle and a sturdy handrail on both sides. The toilet is at the bottom of the stairs.
