Nicholson's pub on Wigmore Street in Marylebone, which closed in February 2015. According to a sign on the hoarding, the building is to be turned into flats. The description below is kept for historical information.
The pub is on three levels. The ground floor is the main bar area and is set up for vertical drinking. There's also a mezzanine up a spiral staircase for dining, and a cellar "champagne" bar with sofas. The cellar bar isn't always open, and has less choice of real ale.
bob and several others visited on a Thursday evening in September 2010. The Celt (£3.15) and the Tribute (£2.90) were both very drinkable. There were several others on at various times. People who had food seemed to be happy with it.
Accessibility: Toilets are downstairs in the cellar (before you get to the cellar bar). Not sure if there's an accessible one on the ground floor.
