This pub alongside the southern end of Peckham Rye Common certainly does not lack space, with a large wood-panelled room for drinking, another for dining, and a vast outdoor beer garden/play area. It's also very child-friendly, and is aimed squarely at affluent East Dulwich residents and parents.

In August 2007 they had Timothy Taylor Landlord, Black Sheep Bitter and London Pride on tap, with a rotating guest beer. Draught lagers were Staropramen, San Miguel and the other usual options. They also had Addlestone's cider on draught, and a reasonable wine list as well.

According to their website as of October 2016, food is served noon-3pm and 5:30pm-9:30pm Tue-Fri, noon-9:30pm Sat, and noon-6pm and 7pm-9:30pm Sun (no food Mondays).

Ewan tried the food in August 2007 and found it to be excellent, with a range of dishes covering meat, fish, and vegetarian options (though there's only main catering for the latter), though it can be pricey. The bowl of chips is best avoided, as you get only a small amount of thin-cut chips for your £2.50.

Staff can at times be a bit pushy, when the demands of the parents require a bit extra space.
