Pub in Carshalton. Previously owned by Punch Taverns, it was purchased by Shepherd Neame in mid-2009.

It has lots of wood paneling, and there's a function room and a beer garden. On our most recent visit one area was set up for diners.

We've visited twice now, most recently in July 2019. In February 2008 there were six ales on handpump, including Brains SA Gold (£2.80/pint), and latte and cappucino were both £1.50. In July 2019 there were three: Whitstable Bay, Spitfire, and Bella Birra (£4.20/pint).

On a Monday evening in August 2011, a live band was playing, so loudly that Kake and bob decided not to visit after all.

According to a board seen outside in August 2011, food is served noon-2pm Mon; noon-2pm and 7pm-9pm Tue-Sat; and noon-4pm Sun.

In July 2019 bob's scampi and chips (£10.25) was fine although I would have preferred the fries a bit crispier.

According to a sign seen in February 2008, use of mobiles is not allowed after 7pm (50p to charity if caught).

Accessibility: A step to get in, and it's a tight turn for both entrances. Level inside to toilets although a few seating areas are raised.
