| Zone 6 Tube station at the Western terminus of the [[Category Central Line|Central Line]], providing an interchange with the Chiltern Railways line from [[Marylebone Station|Marylebone]] to Denham, High Wycombe and Banbury. Directly outside the station are several bicycle racks and a bus stop served by the U1 (going to [[Locale Ruislip|Ruislip]] or [[Locale Uxbridge|Uxbridge]]/Hillingdon Hospital). The station is nearer to [[Locale Ickenham|Ickenham]] than to [[Locale Ruislip|Ruislip]] - [[Ickenham Station|Ickenham Tube station]] is about ten minutes' easy walk as you turn left out of the station. The station was formerly adjacent to the RAF West Ruislip site (used by the US Navy), however the base is now undergoing redevelopment. Two minutes away from the station (on the other side of the dual carriageway) is the Darjeeling Tandoori - a nominally-Nepalese curry house which does an excellent lamb dhansak.
