Note: the sites below cover the whole of London. Blogs, forums, websites, etc, covering specific areas of London can be found on the relevant locale pages.
Food and Drink
- Hungry Onion England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland, and Ireland board — contains a fair bit of London stuff
- Chowhound UK/Ireland board — contains lots of London stuff
- London Korean Links food section
- Tamarind and Thyme — a long-standing food blog with plenty of London content
- The London Review of Breakfasts — Overly analytical and pretentious but normally fun and useful reviews of breakfasting locations in and around London, with occasional guest entries from further afield.
- Londonist articles on food and drink

Walks
- London Footprints — nearly a hundred walks around various parts of London, with pointers to interesting landmarks, and printable pages of background information. Their links page is also worth a look.
- Rambles from the London Tube — urban and country walks reachable by Tube, with a focus on the outlying areas of the network.
General
- Weird and Wonderful London — Yahoo group concerned with performance opportunities (poetry, live/performance art, music etc), money work for performers, cabarets, interesting events, squat parties etc etc
- The Knowhere Guide — fairly unstructured guide to various places around the UK, including areas of London; though be aware that the recommendations may be very out of date
- London Air Quality Network — near-current map of air quality at various points in London. Plus stats.
- Shady Old Lady's Guide to London — You can add your own interesting London places. Includes the government's secret tunnels, Camden's catacombs, and the Lea Coppermill. Bit slow to load.
- Going Underground
- Londonist
- Dictionary of Victorian London — wide variety of pages about life in Victorian London
Creative/art projects
- Streats of London — documenting all the street signs in London that have an item of food or drink in their names (see also the related Flickr photoset).

Games and quizzes
- Waiting For Lunchtime Tube Quiz — a very simple idea, but fun. Click on the blank Tube map and type in the name of the station. See if you can get them all! It will save your correct guesses in a cookie so you don't have to complete it in one sitting.
- Going Underground's Guess Where Tube Quiz, September 2007 — view twelve photos and guess which Tube stations they depict (not automated; you work out your own score).
- Going Underground's Guess Where Tube Quiz, February 2008 — another round of the above.
- District Dave's quizzes and surveys — quite tricky as this site is aimed at hardcore enthusiasts.
