• Weird and Wonderful London — Yahoo group concerned with performance opportunities (poetry, live/performance art, music etc), money work for performers, cabarets, interesting events, squat parties etc etc
• The Knowhere Guide — fairly unstructured guide to various places around the UK, including areas of London; though be aware that the recommendations may be very out of date
• 192.com maps — very high resolution aerial photos of central London - much higher than Google Earth. You can even see people. I've been hesitating to highlight this because somehow they've got their synchronisation of their sets of aerial photos wrong: when you use the "super zoom" you find you're suddenly looking at a location fifty or so metres away. Quite annoying.
• London Footprints — nearly a hundred walks around various parts of London, with pointers to interesting landmarks, and printable pages of background information. Their links page is also worth a look.
• London Air Quality Network — near-current map of air quality at various points in London. Plus stats.
• Shady Old Lady's Guide to London — You can add your own interesting London places. Includes the government's secret tunnels, Camden's catacombs, and the Lea Coppermill. Bit slow to load.

• Going Underground
• A blog and related map which attempts to document all pubs, clubs, cafes, restaurants, places of worship, museums, parks, green spaces, local businesses and schools in the SE11 postcode of South East London

• Dictionary of Victorian London — wide variety of pages about life in Victorian London

• London Street Signs Project Artistic interpretation of London Street signs by crazy people. I blame beth -- bob
• Streats of London — documenting all the street signs in London that have an item of food or drink in their names (see also the related Flickr photoset).
• Project Adorno — 26 Tube stations from A to Z in a weekend.
• The Greenwich Emotion Map
• A City of Shared Stories — vignettes about different areas, written by local residents and plotted on a map.

Games and quizzes

• Waiting For Lunchtime Tube Quiz — a very simple idea, but fun. Click on the blank Tube map and type in the name of the station. See if you can get them all! It will save your correct guesses in a cookie so you don't have to complete it in one sitting.
