Above average standard curry house near Covent Garden.

bob visited on a Saturday evening in November. Most tables were taken but they were able to fit me in. The restaurant can seat about 50 people. Chutneys(50p per person) are normally already on your table and a poppadum(75p) is bought per person. No indication is given that these are to be paid for. The chutneys were actually quite good. The lime pickle havign quite a big chilli kick.

I started with the Kebab Platter(£5.95). This consisted of a tender lamb chop, a decent piece of chicken and a pretty good tandoori prawn.

The mains are what you would expect to find in most curry houses although some of the specials were intersting. bob had the Hara Mirch Ka Gosht(£9.95) for his main. The lamb was cooked about right and the sauce was subtle but had some heat. Pilau Rice(£2.95) was fine and not coloured. The aubergine crash(£5.95) was okay. The keema naan(£2.95) was very good. The dough was cripsy in places and the filling wasnt dyed bright red.

To finish I had the Crocante(£4.95) which was fine, if not covered in far to many nuts. They didnt have my first choice dessert. I think because they longer do it which was a shame since how can deep fried things be wrong.

A large bottle of Kingfisher was £4.50. A 500ml bottle of still water was £3.50.
