Fish and chip restaurant and takeaway on Northcote Road in Battersea.
Entry is into a takeaway area with the usual fish and chip shop counter, but there's seating for around 24 further back, with table service. There are also a couple of tables out the front under cover.
It's run by Greek people, so as well as the usual fish and chip shop things the menu includes olives, grilled halloumi, and interesting salads. They also offer the option of having your fish grilled instead of battered and deep-fried, and you can have salad instead of chips with your fish (or half salad, half chips) at no extra cost. They are licensed, and offer wine as well as bottled beer, including Keo, a "Traditional Greek Beer from Cyprus".
bob and family visited on a Saturday evening in October 2015. When we arrived at about 8:30pm, there were about two tables in use out of the five or so, and when we left an hour later there were several people waiting for takeaways in the front part.
bob's cod and chips (£8.90) photo was very good, obviously freshly battered and cooked as it took 6 or 7 minutes to turn up. The chips were perhaps a touch underdone, but chip shop chips are often like this. Grilled haddock and chips (£9.40) also looked competently cooked, and the person eating it certainly had no complaints. Scampi (£7.80 including chips) looked like they came from a packet, unsurprisingly. Mushy peas (£1.30) looked less runny than usual. Curry sauce (£1.30) was fine, and even a bit less gloopy than chip shop curry sauce usually is. The final bill came to £50 for the four of us including two bottles of beer and some soft drinks. No service charge was added.
Child-friendliness: There is a small children's menu.
Accessibility: A step to get in, and fairly cramped inside. No steps to the toilets once you're in.
