Chinese restaurant in Bromley, specialising in food from Sichuan and Hubei. It also does takeaway and delivery, with online ordering via Just Eat.
Its Chinese name is 三峽人家 (Sānxiá Rénjiā). It has two other branches, one in Fitzrovia and one in Deptford.
Kake and friends visited on a Monday evening in October 2018. There were a couple of other customers when we arrived around 6pm, and a couple more turned up while we were there.
From the cold dish section of the menu, stirfried shredded potato salad (炝拌土豆丝; £6.80) photo was very good, with perfect seasoning and texture. Our other cold dish, sliced pork with crushed garlic (蒜泥白肉; £7.90) photo was also good, though perhaps could have done with a bit more garlic.
Sauteed vermicelli with spicy minced pork ("ants climbing a tree"/蚂蚁上树; £10.80) photo had a good flavour and a nicely bouncy texture to the noodles.
Finally, shredded squid dry pot (干锅鱿鱼须; £14.80) photo seemed a little expensive for what we got; there wasn't a lot of squid, and what was there was a little tough. However, the celery included in this was absolutely delicious.
Service was friendly and helpful, and they seemed delighted that we liked the food. A 10% service charge was auto-added to the bill.
Accessibility: A step to get in, a couple more steps to the majority of the seating, and a flight of stairs with a handrail on one side to the toilets.
