It comprises two separate buildings: a traditional pub building and then in the back a bizarre barn-like structure for the restaurant. On the evening of Good Friday the pub seemed to be packed and had a disco going on at 10:30pm.
I went for a meal in the restaurant. The restaurant is over several levels with a few different dining areas. This means the staff are constantly going up and down stairs.
On a friday night they were quite busy.
It took about 10 minutes before they were ready to seat me. During this time i was sat in thebar area with a pint of guiness(£3.30). Once I ordered fod was pretty quick to come. The calamari strips with teriyaki sauce(£5.49)[http://flickr.com/photos/rjw1/2350844932/ photo] were fine. The salad could have been better dressed though. It also had the worlds largest slice of cucumber in it. I then had the Homemade steak and kidney pie(£11.99)[http://flickr.com/photos/rjw1/2350881588/in/photostream/ photo] which was very large and very tasty apart from the two large bits of kidney(althogh i suppose some people like that). The pie comitted no heresy although the pastry was a bit to flakey for my liking. The chips were fine. The vegetables were uninspiring. A 1 litre bottle of still mineral water cost £3.99. I was offered the chance to have it a ice bucket but declined.

As of June 2011, food is served noon-3pm and 6-10:30pm Monday to Friday, 6-10:30pm on Saturday, and noon-10:30pm on Sunday. The restaurant is over several levels with a few different dining areas, meaning that the staff are constantly going up and down stairs.
The pub bit also serves food but the menu is different. See the website for more details.
The pub claims to have real ale.
