A once disappointing local in [[Locale Peckham|Peckham]] (see the out-of-date Fancyapint review for that), which has in the past year (2007) been refurbished and now presents itself as something of a gastropub. This isn't to say you can't get a drink there, but it'll be a far better one than you could before.

Decor is stripped wooden floors, with lots of leather chairs along the wall, tables of various sizes, and some large sofas at the back. They also clearly welcome dogs in the pub, as a number of guests had them.

They have Deuchars IPA and Adnams Broadside on tap, as well as an extensive wine list (with about 10 wines served by the glass, at prices between £4 and £7 for a large glass, as well as plenty of bottled wine, going up to about £30 maximum).

The pub also serves food, with a daily menu. On the Sunday we visited, there were the usual roasts (including a vegetarian option), as well as a number of other dishes (two vegetarian options) and side dishes (hummus, bread and olives for £3, chips with aioli at £2.75, etc.). My toad in the hole with mushroom and tarragon (vegetarian) sausages was extremely good -- the roast potatoes were done to a perfect crisp, the sausages excellent, with a little jug of gravy and some lovely vegetables. My companion's butternut squash ravioli were adjudged to be very tasty, even if there weren't as many as she'd hoped!
