- 27 Clenham Street, SE1 1ER (streetmap) (osm) (gmap) (bingmap) (streetview)
Pub between Southwark Station and Borough Station.
Serves a fairly dull range of beers (Pride, Young's Bitter, Adnams, Green King IPA and Spitfire) at around £2.80 each. The Young's bitter was drinkable.
The pub was full of people watching the horse racing on a Saturday. In fact someone was running a book. There was a quiet room round the back which was pleasant enough. The same family have run the pub for 50 years.
The Time Out review of this place says that it's “Hidden in a street so small that even its abbreviated name is barely visible in the A to Z”.
