Good Beer Guide pub between Southwark Station and Borough Station.
Serves a fair range of beers (Pride, Young's Bitter, Adnams, Green King IPA and Spitfire) at around £2.80 each. The Young's bitter was very drinkable.
The pub was buzzing with people watching the horse racing on a Saturday. There was a quiet room round the back which was extremely pleasant The same family have run the pub for 50 years.
The Time Out review of this place says that it's “Hidden in a street so small that even its abbreviated name is barely visible in the A to Z”.
