Tiny Shepherd Neame pub in Belgravia.

It does a very lively trade in the evenings. It's run by Irish people, and popular with the staff from the nearby Irish embassy as well as those from Buckingham Palace. Despite this, it's a traditional unpretentious English pub.

Decor is mostly traditional dark wood, with low tables across the front window, and some high tables and bar stools towards the back. In the summer there are tables and chairs outside in the street. As well as the downstairs bar there's also a room upstairs, up a narrow, winding and steep staircase, which is available for groups to hire.

There are three hand pumps normally serving Kent Best, Spitfire, and a seasonal ale. Food is available in the evenings, and is fairly standard "pub grub".

Accessibility: Poor. The pub is in a cobbled mews with a couple of steep steps up to the door. Gents' toilets are tiny, down a small but steep and narrow staircase at the back of the bar. Ladies' toilets are also at the back up one step.
