Micropub in Selsdon. It opened in early 2019 in premises that were previously a stationery shop.

It's rather more accessible than many micropubs, with normal-height chairs, stools, and tables widely spaced around the room. The decor is subtle without being boring, in shades of red, brown, and cream. Original art hangs on the walls along with displays of pump clips and beer bottles. Shelving against one wall holds a selection of fiction and non-fiction as well as a few fairly standard board games (including pub favourite Shut The Box). Four handpumps stand prominently on the bar in the far corner.

Kake and friend visited on a Friday lunchtime in September 2019. There was one other customer when we arrived shortly after their opening time of noon. The handpumps were clipped for Lincoln Green Dodge, Manning Sha Man, Manning Gingerbread Man, and Severn Copper Ale, and each had a small sample jar in front to show the colour of the ale. Service was friendly and welcoming.

Accessibility: No steps to get in, and step-free throughout. The ladies' doubles as an accessible toilet, and has wide, flat, direct access from the main room.

Kake's verdict: I really liked it here and would happily come back. bob's verdict: My go to pub in the Croydon area if I want to drink some interesting beers and have a pleasant afternoon.
