Historical version 1 of Fox And Firkin, SE13 6JZ (view current version)

This isn't really a Firkin pub any more, but a perfectly pleasant drinking spot for the area, with lots of space, and a large beer garden out back (which was often closed, but I can only assume is more reliably open these days).

It attracts a fairly mixed crowd, with plenty of students (presumably from Goldsmiths College) and regulars as well. Does a quiz night on Wednesday, live bands on Tuesday, and other assorted events.

It's main selling point is that it's a lot cheaper than central London for drinking. Spirits are particularly competitively priced, but stay away from the house wine. After having had a row of ale pumps for many years without any ale, they have recently added Broadside and Bombardier. With any luck they'll add more in future. The range of lagers is standard, nothing special.
