A reputable chain of wine and spirit merchants. They acquired the UK operation of French wine merchants Nicolas in early 2012.
While the Nicolas stores used to focus on French wine, under Spirited Wines management they have expanded their range of wines from other places in Europe, and also started to put more emphasis on interesting spirits from around the world. Some Nicolas branches continued to trade under the Nicolas name, while others rebranded to Spirited Wines. Several of the Spirited Wines shops were bought by Oddbins in May 2014, and rebranded to match.
