Historical version 3 of Cadogan Arms, SW3 5UG (view current version)

A pub on the King's Road in Chelsea. It was closed for refurbishment in December 2008, and reopened in April 2009. We haven't yet visited it post-refurb.

Ewan and Jo visited in July 2008, prior to the refurb. As far as the local drinking establishments go, this one's far less pretentious, and no worse for that. There's nothing remarkable about the interior: it's fairly bland, in a chain pub sort of way, but it has plenty of seating, good value pints, and upstairs there's a pool room with two tables.

There are four handpumps for ale, with Brains SA and SA Gold, London Pride and Land of My Fathers on a July 2008 visit (though the latter two were off at that time). Lagers are pretty standard and include Peroni. A pint of the Brains and a large glass of pinot grigio came to £7.75.

There are special offers advertised like two meals for £10. A quiz machine sits in the corner by the bar, and television screens show sport but are not particularly obvious or intrusive (the sound isn't on).
