A pub on the King's Road in Chelsea.
As far as the local drinking establishments go, this one's far less pretentious, and no worse for that. There's nothing remarkable about the interior: it's fairly bland, in a chain pub sort of way, but it has plenty of seating, good value pints, and upstairs there's a pool room with two tables.
There are four handpumps for ale, with Brains SA and SA Gold, London Pride and Land of My Fathers on a July 2008 visit (though the latter two were off at that time). Lagers are pretty standard and include Peroni. A pint of the Brains and a large glass of pinot grigio came to £7.75.
There are special offers advertised like two meals for £10. A quiz machine sits in the corner by the bar, and television screens show sport but are not particularly obvious or intrusive (the sound isn't on).
