Food is served, with a strong theme of German sausages, although there are non-sausage and vegetarian options too. Quality and prices are both above-average. The menu is divided into: * "little things" (e.g. grilled halloumi cheese with oregano pesto, £4.50; wurst sampler with mustard dip, £4.50), * "big things" (e.g. 12oz T-Bone steak, £12.50, sausages of the day with olive mash and onion gravy, £ 7.50), * "salad things" (e.g. warm goat cheese with roasted beetroot and toasted almonds, £7.50), * "bread things" (e.g. grilled chicken and smoky bacon ciabatta club sandwich, £5.50), * "naughty things" (e.g. toffee sponge with toffee sauce, toffee pieces, and banana ice cream, £3.50), and * "sharing things" (e.g. nachos and platters). Note: the menu these choices were taken from was labelled "Today's Food", so it seems as though it's rotated at least somewhat. There is some booth-esque seating, and some bench/table seating. Tables can be booked, and indeed often are, so you may have trouble getting a seat. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar, rather than at the table. Can get very noisy, to the point where conversation is difficult. Lighting is dim. It is very definitely a bar rather than a pub. DJs at the weekend.
