Vegetarian Cafe in Vauxhall also catering to vegans.

bob and a friend visited on a Monday lunchtime in April 2014. We had booked but there was plenty of room throughout the service. We were the first diners at 12:30 but during our visit at least 10 other diners passed through. The space is quite small but can seat about 25 people.

On our visit the menu was entirely vegan and the website suggests that vegans are always catered for.

We started with the baby nettle soupphoto and garlic breadphoto.(£2.50). The soup was very tasty and the garlic bread superb. bob had the Cajun Blackened Tofu which came with rice and beans, greens, baked pumpkin and salad(£5.50)photo. The silken tofu with its coating of cajun spices was very good. The rest was good. [bob's]? friend enjoyed the Colombian Tamale (£5.50)photo although felt that the tofu was possibly better.

We finished with a Ginger tea(£1)photo each. This was obviously made with freshly cut ginger. bob made the faux pas of asking for honey with his tea.

A carafe of water was brought to our table without being asked for.

bob's verdict: A really quite tasty vegan meal for not very much money at all. I would certainly go back. Although the chefs do change from day to day.
