Note: Young Bean is no longer in existence, at least at this location. The whole of St Alphage House, including the podium level highwalk, is being sold and demolished, so we suspect everything there has either closed or moved. As of June 2008, the only news we have on a new location for Young Bean is [http://www.flickr.com/photos/secretlondon/2624803439/ this application for an alcohol licence] at 2-3 Bassishaw Highwalk, EC2V 5VS, 5 minutes away in a building formerly occupied by Noto. |

Korean restaurant just off London Wall up on one of the highwalks. Does an all you can eat buffet for £9 at lunchtimes. Also has Japanese and Chinese food. The kimchi was very good, as was the chilli pork on the Korean barbecue. Bob the wasabi fiend was disappointed to see that the sushi didn't come with extra wasabi on the side, but thought the nigiri almost had enough wasabi anyway (which might mean it has too much for normal people...).
They also do a non-buffet menu at lunch time including hot stone bowls and other Korean dishes.
In the evening they don't do the buffet, but do offer a full menu of Korean food. It's priced quite well and food quality is very good.
