"Unbranded" Mitchells & Butlers pub in Belsize Park, part of the Castle sub-brand.
It's quite lavishly-decorated inside, with chandeliers hanging from the ornate red-and-gold ceiling, fairy lights strung along the walls, black leather banquetted booths marked off by frosted glass screens, polished dark-stained floorboards, and checkerboard tiles and flocked wallpaper in the ladies' photo.
Kake and Richard visited on a Thursday afternoon in June 2009. Three real ales were available; Batemans Blooming Marvellous (£3.05/pint), Fuller's London Pride, and Timothy Taylor Landlord. They also had various interesting lagers including strawberry Fruli.
Music was playing; it got quite interesting towards the end of our visit, including the Breeders and the Cure.
According to the menu as of June 2009, food is served noon-10pm Mon-Wed; noon-11pm Thu-Sat; and noon onwards (Sunday roast) Sun.
A sign advertised board games (£1/play, which goes to a local charity). Another sign advertised a quiz night on Tuesdays.
Accessibility: Two steps up to get in, but it's step-free once you're in and there's a RADAR-locked accessible loo.
