Randomness Guide to London - Differences between Version 9 and Version 1 of Foote's Music

Version 9 Version 1

Music shop on Store Street in [[Locale Bloomsbury|Bloomsbury]].
Foote's is split into two halves with the ground floor selling drums and percussion and the basement selling orchestral strings, brass and woodwind instruments. They have a very good range of stock available in store, with a wide range of manufacturers, and price points represented. It is probably not the place to go looking for a bargain, but if you are looking to try a wide variety of instruments you will have a hard time finding somewhere better. The service is reasonably good by music shop standards, no on has actually been rude to me, but if there is anything more interesting going on expect to be ignored for a little while. The staff, whilst obviously being musicians aren't terribly invested in the success of the shop and so wont go out of their way to offer you help or advice.

The percussion section
has a good range of full drum kits and not a bad range of cymbals for a their limited space. They also have a number of digital/electronic kits out on display. There is a range of other larger drums (congas, etc.) as well as a reasonable selection of hardware. If you are after something specific in a hurry you should probably phone ahead to see if they have it in stock.

There were signs up advertising several tutorial sessions.
